PARIS – The Professional Fighters League (PFL), resumed its 2023 PFL Europe season with the Playoffs with incredible action across the roster live from the Zenith Paris La Villette in Paris, France.

The main event saw a jaw-dropping bout in an all French showdown between Cedric Doumbe and Jordan Zebo. In just 9 seconds of the first round, Cedric Doumbe delivered a knockout blow to his rival Jordan Zebo, leaving the crowd on their feet. Doumbe extends his undefeated streak to 5-0 and eagerly awaits his next challenge inside the PFL SmartCage.

In the evening’s co-main event, ‘The Lazy King’ Abdoul Abdouraguimov showcased his dominance over veteran Brad Wheeler, securing an impressive submission victory with a rear-naked choke at 2:43 of the first round. This win extends Abdoul’s winning streak to 8 consecutive victories, now holding a record of 18-1.

UK’s top prospects, Simeon Powell and Dakota Ditcheva, both maintained their perfect records, advancing to 9-0 in their professional careers. ‘Dangerous’ Ditcheva achieved a third-round TKO over Cornelia Holm, while ‘Smooth’ Simeon Powell secured his spot in the championships with a unanimous decision victory over Daniel Ladero. Both fighters will be competing at the 3Arena for the PFL Europe title and $100,000.

In an unforgettable night for Irish MMA, Frans Mlmabo and John Mitchell delivered victories for Ireland. John Mitchell earned a unanimous decision victory over Geisym Derouiche in their second encounter. Meanwhile, Frans Mlambo squared off against Mokhtar Benkaci and won via a split decision. Both fighters are now preparing for their next battles on home soil in Dublin, Ireland.

Shanelle Dyer, making her debut in PFL Europe, defeated her opponent Luisa Cifuentes via unanimous decision. Her impressive performance marks her entry into the tournament for the 2024 season.
