Dinner For Draw Delegates Held With City Of Taguig As Co-Presenter

As the Draw for the biggest basketball tournament in the world is upon us, delegates from all over the world have converged in Manila to bear witness.

While a day of celebration is planned on the day of the Draw itself, on its eve, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), led by officials of the local basketball federation Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP), co-hosted a dinner for visitors, with the City of Taguig playing a major part in welcoming them. The event was held on April 28, 2023, at the prestigious Shangri-La The Fort, located within the City of Taguig.

Among those in attendance were officials from the world basketball governing body, leaders of the co-host nations Philippines, Japan, and Indonesia, heads of the different national basketball federations of participating teams, event partners, tournament ambassadors, and celebrities.

Senators Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano, as well as City of Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano were in attendance, on behalf of the co-presenter.

With barely four months left before the three-nation-hosted world basketball
extravaganza is scheduled to kick off, the LOC and the SBP are in full preparation, and the fellowship dinner was merely one step towards the culminating event that will take place from 25 August to 10 September 2023.
