Final 12-Woman Lineup For Jones Cup Announced

Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas formally bared on Tuesday, August 1, its 12-woman roster to compete at the 42nd William Jones Cup from August 5 - 9 in Taiwan.

Center Jack Animam leads the team alongside Afril Bernardino, Monique del Carmen, Janine Pontejos, Stefanie Berberabe, Jhaz Joson, Louna Ozar, Andrea Tongco, Gabi Bade, UAAP Season 85 Rookie of the Year Kacey Dela Rosa, and Fil-Ams Sofia Roman and Malia Bambrick.

Newcomer Malia Bambrick, an NCAA Division I player from Long Beach State University will make her debut for Gilas Pilipinas Women at the tournament. Meanwhile, Fil-Am veteran Sofia Roman returns to the roster since she last played for the national team in 2015.  

Gilas Pilipinas Women will play teams from Iran, Chinese Taipei, Japan, and South Korea.
