Gilas Women Stay Unbeaten, Rout Singapore

Gilas Pilipinas Women kept their three-peat bid alive by beating Singapore 94 - 63 àt 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Thursday. Despite the win, they struggled against the Singaporeans after leading by just seven points in the first half.

Khate Castillo dropped 14 points for Gilas Women while Afril Bernardino added 11 points and 9 rebounds. Ella Fajardo had 12 points and Clare Castro contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds.

Singapore's surge was sparked by Amanda Lim Zhi Yan's game high 18 points. The loss puts them in a 0 - 3 hole in the tournament.

Gilas Pilipinas Women will play Indonesia next on May 12 at 2 pm.
