Molten Introduce New Official Game Ball For The FIBA World Cup 2023

Sports balls and equipment manufacturer Molten recently unveiled the official game ball for FIBA World Cup 2023, which was held during the FIBA Live Draw Ceremony on Saturday, April 29. Barangay Ginebra star LA Tenorio and FIBA Ambassador Luis Scola graced the event.

The official game ball was based on the BG5000 model and was co-designed by FIBA and Molten to produce a top quality basketball for FIBA tournaments which is still in use since August 2019.

Dubbed as "The Passion Wave," the heart and wave design elements reflects the passion for basketball that forms a heartbeat that spreads around the world.

Per FIBA's website, FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis expressed his excitement of the newly unveiled official game ball.

"We are all very excited by this exclusive official game ball. Its great design and concept, while maintaining the grip and quality performance, has made Molten basketballs hugely popular with players and fans.
"As FIBA's longest-standing partner, Molten have always been an important and valuable member of the FIBA Family. Their basketballs are a crucial element for us as we continue to take the sport to new heights. I thank them for their commitment to basketball and to FIBA," added Zagklis.

Molten's official game ball for the FIBA World Cup 2023 and its replica model will be available starting August 29 at select countries around the world.

The FIBA World Cup 2023 tips-off on August 25.
