The 2023 PFL Regular Season continues with PFL 3 live this Friday, April 14th at 7:00 PM ET (April 15th, 7:00 AM Manila time) on ESPN and ESPN+, with the action continuing on ESPN+ starting at 9:30 PM ET (April 15th, 9:30 AM Manila time)
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - The Professional Fighters League 2023 Regular Season continues with PFL 3, featuring action in the Lightweight and Welterweight divisions. The main event on ESPN features 2022 PFL Lightweight Champion “The Canadian Gangster” Olivier Aubin-Mercier of Canada taking on “Hurricane” Shane Burgos, who makes his much anticipated PFL debut, of the United States.
Aubin-Mercier, who weighed in at 154.4-pounds, is undefeated in the PFL, and is coming off a stellar 2022 campaign. Aubin-Mercier defeated former champions Natan Schulte and Raush Manfio as well as top contenders Alexander Martinez and Stevie Ray en route to a 2022 PFL Championship. Burgos, meanwhile, weighed in at 156.0-pounds for his highly-anticipated PFL debut. One of the League’s biggest off-season acquisitions, Burgos enters the PFL SmartCage with an 8-3 record.
Also on the ESPN card, fan-favorite lightweight “Cassius” Clay Collard of the United States welcomes Japanese knockout artist Yamato Nishikawa to the PFL. Collard, who weighed in at 154.4-pounds, holds notable wins over Anthony Pettis and Jeremy Stephens. Former Shooto Lightweight Champion Nishikawa, meanwhile, weighed in at 153.4-pounds for his PFL and US debut.
Headlining the ESPN+ card will be 2022 PFL Welterweight Champion “The Swedish Denzel” Sadibou Sy of Sweden going head to head against “The Jordanian Lion” Jarrah Al-Silawi of Jordan who previously competed in the PFL Challenger Series. Sy weighed in at 171.0-pounds as he targets his fifth PFL Playoff appearance in as many seasons. Al-Silawi, meanwhile, weighed in at 170.8-pounds as he looks to build off an impressive first year with the PFL.
Also on the ESPN+ card, 2018 PFL Welterweight Champion Magomed Magomedkerimov meets league newcomer “Brutal” Ben Egli. Magomedkerimov weighed in at 171.0-pounds to kick off his campaign for a second PFL championship. Egli, meanwhile, weighed in at 170.2-pounds and is bringing with him a 100-percent finishing rate in 14 professional victories.
